Dracontology is a term used to refer to "the study of Sea Serpents and Lake Monsters." - (I've decided to expand upon it for the sake of an easy-to-browse category for my "serpents" "fish" and "other creatures related to lakes or the seas.") - I also plan to list some "Globsters" below. [Monsters who originated as what is most easily defined as unidentified carcasses that wash up on beaches. "Globsters (or 'blobs') which are usually distinguished from a normal beached carcass by being hard to identify, at least by initial untrained observers, and by creating controversy as to its identity."] - In their own way: they represent an interesting, (albeit extremely niche) part of speculative folklore & cryptozoology.]
