•About this Urban Legend•
"Mary San no Denwa!" - (JP: メリーさんの電話.) - "A Call from Mary-san" "A broken porcelain doll that accidentally got thrown out with the trash. - Now it repeatedly calls: each time announcing where she is; getting closer and closer, until... she's right behind you... its said that if you don't share the story with 5 people, she'll call you next... "
its unclear what happens when she catches you.. This one has its origins as very popular Scary chain letter that's been going around likely since the start of the internet, it was even made into a horror movie in 2011! - There are many ways to deal with her, Mary is easily tricked so her reputation is kinda that of a goof: my absolute favourite is that if you happen to be living in a tall building, she cannot reach the elevator buttons, so she has to take the stairs, she has to call you at each floor, giving you plenty of time to escape. Other solutions include Getting on an airplane, or going on a cross country vacation right then and there, Forcing her to go sight seeing with you.
