Description
Akuchū – [yokai|Kannomushi] “Evil Bugs”
•About this mushi: It clings tightly to the spleen with its 6 red claws causing horrible pain, it absorbs its hosts nutrition, making it hard to gain any energy/weight… it likes rice. Can be cured with mokkō (Chinese Thistle.)

One of 63 ‘KanNoMushi’ 疳の虫 (germ/parasitic Yokai) from the “Harikikigaki” 針聞書 or “the book of needles” – a tome about acupuncture & medical knowledge written in 1568 by a resident of Ibaraki City, Osaka Prefecture, Japan.
