Taibyo-no-kesshaku - 大病の血積 -

a bug with a mallet shaped head. it infects the stomach and sucks blood from the heart when somebody has been recovering from being sick. If smashed, it causes blood clots.

Cured by vomiting.

One of 63 ‘KanNoMushi’ 疳の虫 (germ/parasitic Yokai) from the “Harikikigaki” 針聞書 or “the book of needles” - a tome about acupuncture & medical knowledge written in 1568 by a resident of Ibaraki City, Osaka Prefecture, Japan.
