The Medford Schmoos. - [Cryptid, Medford Orgeon, 1953]

• About this cryptid: A family of featureless, floating, amorphous blob creatures spotted in the wooded area near Old stage road, Medford, Oregon. They quickly glide across the road when you aren't expecting it. – Sorta disturbing, but otherwise harmless.

• History: First reported in the 1984 CUFOS newsletter,  in it, the witness recounts their sighting from 31 years prior, witnesse described them as 4ft with the last one being slightly smaller. White, Limbless, with smooth, satiny fur, shaped similarly to a goose but with no wings, break or limbs. The entities where encountered during a drive home, they seemed to glide across the road at an angle. –

[1984 CUFOS newsletter]

They also said that the entity resembled the "Smoos from Lil' Abner comics"  but larger and with longer necks. -

[a "shmoo"]

Interestingly, the same comparison was used by witnesses for similar cases from the time such as 'the Kinderhook Blob' or the modern, 'Fresno Nightcrawlers'  (it’s funny, I suppose when people have no natural creature to compare something to, they tend to compare them to media they’ve seen.)

Of course, A common rationalization for this particular cryptid sighting is that the witnesses actually saw where the rear ends of a family of deers  running away quickly. Even so, a family of blobbies was too cute not to draw.
