Description
Kishaku – 気積 – “Mood Infection”
• About this mushi: lives in the stomach & makes its host crave Oily food. […is what the museum exhibit says in person.] The book itself mentions that people infected with kishaku will become lustful with an increased sex drive. (it looks a bit like its wearing a nigiri sushi, but it apparently it refuses to eat rice.)
• Cure: If you can eat the belly of a tiger (or medicine made of it), you’ll be cured!

One of 63 ‘KanNoMushi’ 疳の虫 (germ/parasitic Yokai) from the “Harikikigaki” 針聞書 or “the book of needles” – a tome about acupuncture & medical knowledge written in 1568 by a resident of Ibaraki City, Osaka Prefecture, Japan.
