Description
Yukinbo (JP: 雪坊) – “Snow boy” – aka: yuki warashi
•About this yokai: These diligent young spirits are said to be working hard for the mountain gods of Wakayama prefecture. – Early mornings when it has snowed overnight, its said that this yokai hops around trees & plants with its big foot, leaving strange footprints and hazardous tree wells all over the mountain sides – [Local skiers hate it.] – it wears traditional straw snow gear called “Mino” to keep the snow out of its face.
PS: The snow rabbits are called YukiUsagi ( 雪うさぎ )
