Description

Uchimi no Kesshaku – 打身の血積, うちみのけっしゃく

• About this mushi: A cluster of nasty white worms which have formed a nest made out of clotted blood; caused by internal bleeding which was subsequently caused by a bruise to somewhere on the abdomen. Those infected will find themselves with a loss of appetite & be completely unable to eat much of anything come dinnertime. The host will also emit a fishy smelling Odor all night long (both on their breath and their sweat) …

• Cure: Eliminated by mixing Korean Ginseng (Panax Ginseng) with Japanese ginger seeds (Zingiber mioga) and ingesting the result!

• History: Yet Another One out of 63 ‘KanNoMushi’ ‘疳の虫’ (germ/parasitic Yokai) from the “Harikikigaki” 針聞書 (“The book of needles.”) – A mysterious book about acupuncture & medical knowledge written in 1568 by a resident of Ibaraki City, Osaka Prefecture, Japan.

• My Observations: This one resembles a kinchaku a specific type of Furoshiki drawstring bag, but with the worms as the strings (& presumably the content) Why/How would these worms know how to make that?! efficiency? to give you a gift of Woims?! – Really i don’t have much else to say about this one specifically; but if you find a sack of worms under your tree, Please stay away from me!!!!
