Description
Tako-san Sausage. – タコさんウインナー, たこソーセージ.
• About this snack: A tasty ‘lil octopus-shaped sausage for your Bento Box! – [Cut a full red sausage in half, poke holes for eyes & insert black sesame seeds, carve out a mouth & cut the bottom half for tentacles. Boiling/Cooking is usually optional.] – A classic lunch time treat; they gained widespread popularity starting sometime in the 1970’s and where popularly packed into Bento boxes from then onwards! The extra effort it takes to make them (at least vs average boiled weenies) makes these somewhat symbolic of loving parents!
