Description
Nyotaimori. – (女体盛り) – “Body sushi.” – [Sushi|Foodlore|Taboo]
• About: The Lewd n’ spicy act of eating sushi off of a models nude body. – it’s quite controversial as supposedly, originally; the model is expected to lie completely still & never interact with guests (or react at all!) until the event is concluded, even after all of the food is removed. (They’re expected to behave like a literal platter.) – It’s seen as Objectifying, Degrading and Sexist by many. – The custom supposedly originated the Edo period in Onsen & Bathhouses behind closed doors as an adult attraction, it later became popular in America (& world wide) in the 1980’s onwards; Today it’s usually only performed at Sex Clubs (and rarely at that.) Despite the controversy, many still consider it a form of art & so, it persists! (As with most Taboo/Risque things! I’m not gonna yuck anyones yum.)
