Michelin-men – [UFO|Alien] – 🇪🇺 1975

•About this Alien: “Michelin-men” are a classification of Alien into their own. They are often encountered wearing ‘shiny, puffy, rolled suits’ (like a down comforter jacket.) – But They’re named as such because they usually resemble a ‘certain tire mascot’ (there’s no relation otherwise however!) – They have been encountered ‘round the world primarily in Europe. (with various appearances) since at least 1955! [The most famous encounter happened in France, perhaps i’ll cover it another time.]

This one in particular was encountered in “La Réunion” – an island off the coast of Madagascar, in a cornfield in 1975, by a butchers employee named Antoine Severin, who on his lunch break, followed a curious “beep-beep-beep” sound which he had been hearing on his way home for 2 days prior.He followed the noise into the cornfield and it turns out, the source of the mysterious sound was infact, a UFO.

The brave butcher was instantly overcome with heat & found himself paralyzed, then he saw 3 tiny beings (about 1ft tall each) step out of the large domed saucer: one was carrying a bag, the other had a rod which it was using to scratch the dirt, the third stayed inside the saucer. They noticed him and quickly climbed the ladder back into the ship.

The ship lifted off with a whistle and a flash, bang! knocking the poor man to the ground. – When the witness got home, he then lost his sight & speech, falling into an agitated semi-coma for 5 days. – Later, when he tried to take the police to the site, he repeatedly fell unconscious and had to give up the attempt.
…Cute little corn thieves, aren’t they?
