Karasu Tengu – 小天狗 – [yokai|tengu]

•About this Yokai: Despite being called a ‘crow’ in older pictures, Karasu tengu’s wings appear to be a bit more like a kite or a falcon rather than crow-like. They’re proud warriors, but they are very easily distracted. ✨ – This karasu tengu in particular is based off the blue kotengu statue of Tokyos Mt Takao.

In the tale of Heike, Tengu are described as “men, but not men. birds, but not birds. a dogs, but not dogs; the head of a canine a pair of wings and are capable of both flight and walking”
