• About: a red hot worm that dances around the spleen and attacks the liver. its claws are deceptively sharp, people infected with this will stagger about hot and dizzy, as if they where hit on the head.

• Cured: using Mokko. (Thistle.) & daiō (Rheum)

One of 63 ‘KanNoMushi’ 疳の虫 (germ/parasitic Yokai) from the “Harikikigaki” 針聞書 or “the book of needles” – a tome about acupuncture & medical knowledge written in 1568 by a resident of Ibaraki City, Osaka Prefecture, Japan.
