Description
BC Roll – [Sushi|Foodlore] – (Aka: “BC Unagi roll”)
• About this roll: Yet another specialty Uramaki roll, wrapped in Smoked Pacific Salmon Skin & topped with a sweet drizzle of Nitsume (eel sauce) – The Rolls name is taken from British Columbia, Canada (My home province!) where in Wild Pacific Salmon are famously caught! It’s yet another fusion-roll which owes its origin to Vancouver BC’s Legendary Chef Hidezaku Tojo, who made it first in 1974! Apparently it was intended to be a solution to having a lack of conger eels (anago) to work with, so he decided to use smoked salmon skin instead! Yummy!
