its me!

• Yo! Sam Kalensky here! I’m an independent artist, folklorist & character designer proud local from Vancouver, BC Canada. My trademark style is vivid colours, punchy line work, dynamic frames, chaotic compositions, and slick and silly smears! – I self produce, research, write, draw and design everything on this website myself – (For more about my art & how I do it please check out my FAQ page) – I’ve been posting my artwork online since 2006 and selling it in Vancouver events and online as early as 2010! 

• In addition to my books and bestiary‘s on the subjects of Yokai, Fearsome Critters, Cryptids, Aliens & Urban Legends, I am also slowly making an original comic series titled Landfish and Shark. – (FYI: Cat’Sup is the most popular character/mascot originating from said series.) – You can currently read Chapter 1 via supporting my various endeavours on Patreon. slow moving but I hope to be able to finish more soon.
