“Haunted Anatomy Models” – “jintai mokei” [人体模型]

•About this Urban legend: The ‘Haunted Anatomy Model’ has long been a schoolyard horror staple since the 1950’s: stories like these stem from the fact that up until the 1920’s schools globally would in-fact use real human skeletons for their science labs! – can you blame kids for being afraid of them? They’re peeled in half!! its never pleasant to think about guts, no matter the context.

• History: these models because of their shocking appearance, are a common pick for one of the “Seven Schoolyard Mysteries” where its known as “jintai mokei” [人体模型] – there are many urban legends that the models will roam around the school at night (or that its real, a zombie and is craving flesh!) – On occasion, it might be accompanied by a skeleton or other another resident of the science lab (ie cut up formaldehyde frogs, pigs etc.)
