• About this Yokai •
Kameosa (JP: 瓶長) is Another example of a Tsukumogami (JP: つくも髪) - This haunted flask has become a bottomless bottle of plenty, and will magically produce an ample bounty of whatever liquid is poured inside of it: it produces an endless amount of the liquid continuously; it likes humans and LOVES to share! Just be careful, it tends to get VERY EXCITED and overflow!!! (it's very partial to sake & alcohol!!)
•Early Appearances & History•
Kameosa's Earliest appearance was in 1784 as part of Toriyama sekiens [百器徒然袋] Gazu Hyakki Tsurezure Bukuro it was named after one of his students who loved to drink! - The bottomless flask itself is also a reference to a famous story/play "Shōjō Midare" - 猩々乱" (more about that here.)
